StyleBistro's Pinterest Fashion Week contest is all over, and we wanted to thank everyone who participated, and share the 10 winning boards with our faithful readers. Just to catch everyone up to speed, we held a contest to see who could create the coolest Pinterest boards around New York Fashion Week, and gave out $250 worth of beauty swag to the winning entrants.
Pinterest user Lauren Aufiero focused on the backs of outfits in her entry. (From Pinterest) With more entries than we expected, the judging was tough, but our StyleBistro staff was up to the challenge of finding the best boards based on creativity, composition and eye for style. Staff Writer and Editor Bernice McMillan, who boasts 194 Pinterest followers and more than a thousand pins, says she looked for "a general enthusiasm about the contest and NYFW in general" while judging the entries.She pointed to Lauren Aufiero's entry as one that stood out thanks to a simple theme: the backs of outfits. "It covered a wide range of shows but at the same time managed to maintain a central theme," Bernice said.
Meanwhile fellow Staff Writer and Editor Dominique Streeter loved that Pinterest user LeeAnn Prescott stuck to menswear in her entry, and Beauty Editor Heather Gunderman picked Rachel Millar's very pink board as her favorite.
